Energy supplier EGAT

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is Thailand’s leading energy supplier. This state-owned company is responsible for electricity generation and transmission throughout the country. EGAT is also responsible for electricity sales. Electrical equipment is tested in the company’s in-house laboratory in accordance with Thai standards.

The building’s HVAC system consists of a total of three water-cooled chillers, which are controlled by an OPEN 810/5. Furthermore, the fresh air supply to the laboratories is ensured by a fresh air system. This fresh air system is controlled by an OPEN 600/5, allowing the outdoor air supply to be optimally adjusted according to the conditions in each individual room.

In addition, the laboratory rooms were equipped with 21 FCU controllers and thermostats. A particular challenge with this project was integrating humidity control with the corresponding air pressure in the laboratories to achieve perfect indoor climate conditions.

The entire building is controlled by 2 tablet PCs. All system data can be accessed at any time via the OPENview web server. This allows technicians to access the systems at any time, including via remote access.
