Fiehn Gebäudeautomation and its partners were awarded the 2011 “Innovation Prize” by Sparkasse Schwarzwald-Baar for the new “Katharina-von-Gersdorf” school building, which was constructed as a Passive House. This award is financially supported by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).

The digital automation system for regulating and controlling the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems of the passive house project was provided by DEOS. An OPEN 700 EMS automation station is used as the hardware. The OPENweb building management software records all physical and virtual control values at any desired time intervals.
