Life insurance ERGO
DEOS Gebäudeautomation GmbH has upgraded the building systems at ERGO Lebensversicherung AG, a subsidiary of the ERGO Group, in Hamburg as part of a large-scale project. As part of this project, all DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems were replaced in Headquarters (HV) 1 and 2, and an energy optimization system was installed for the ventilation systems.
Based on the positive experience gained during the renovation of HQ2, the systems at HQ1 were also equipped with DEOS technology. Furthermore, in accordance with the requirements, it was ensured that daily office operations would not be disrupted, as the floor slabs did not need to be replaced despite the installation of the energy optimization system.
Based on the principle of open communication, the native BACnet controllers of the OPEN EMS series support the BACnet protocol and can thus communicate with other BACnet devices via the Ethernet network.
Following the modernization measures, measurements of the new building services revealed that the air flow rates were reduced from 1,800,000 m³/h to 800,000 m³/h. Furthermore, ERGO Lebensversicherung AG can save approximately 1 million euros annually in energy costs thanks to the new HVAC system.
