Ministry PAI

The PAI (Public Authority of Industry) in Kuwait City was upgraded with the latest DEOS technology. This project involved a complete replacement of building automation equipment, and the facility is now equipped with DEOS products.

The project was divided into two phases. In the first phase, the ventilation systems, lighting management, and CO monitoring system were converted to the DEOS system. In phase two, all ventilation systems were equipped with variable frequency drives, and the existing ventilation system was converted to a VAV system (DEOS BACnet VAV controller) to achieve the highest possible energy efficiency. Finally, the chillers were also connected via BACnet IP to ensure that the entire building, all consumption data, and system information are always visible. The entire retrofit took place while the building was fully occupied, presenting an additional challenge for the team in Kuwait.

The entire main building, as well as seven additional branch offices of the ministry, are now monitored and controlled via the GLT OPENweb. In addition to the installed GLT server, service personnel are equipped with an Android tablet featuring the OPENweb app to enable mobile operations while on the go.
