While Operations Continue: Major Insurance Company Modernizes with DEOS Building Automation

A major German insurance company has comprehensively modernized its building automation system. Following the initial installation in 2005 and a first partial renovation using DEOS technology in 2014, the automation solution has now been updated for additional building sections. The renovation covered a total of 88,000 square meters of office space with various room layouts. Growing energy awareness, outdated technology, and increasing system failures made the modernization necessary. The challenge: The conversion had to take place while operations continued. Two central DEOS solutions were deployed—wired room automation with the Regio Ardo room controller, and a wireless LoRaWAN solution with the battery-free DEOS TEO heating thermostat. The new technology promises optimized operation and greater energy savings.
