Grafenegg Castle: Precise indoor climate for rehearsals and concerts

The four-winged Grafenegg Castle near Vienna is world-famous for its concerts and spacious parkland.

For optimal climate control, DEOS system partner R+S Group opted for SRUs for this large project. A total of 11 seminar and rehearsal rooms in the castle are equipped with a large number of SRUs. In addition to the historic building fabric, the challenge here was the climatically/acoustically insulated construction, so that rehearsals in directly adjacent rooms do not disturb each other. The highlight of the facility, the auditorium with a concert hall for 1,300 guests, has also been equipped with this technology. The large and small concert halls and the restaurant in the surrounding park buildings are also controlled with DEOS products and monitored for climate control via the central DEOS building management system OPENweb.
