DEOS TEO Is Becoming Even More Energy-Self-Sufficient: New PV Room Sensors from enerthing

DEOS is expanding its battery-free wireless solution, TEO, to include self-powered PV room sensors from the German sensor manufacturer enerthing. This adds another maintenance-free wireless component to the TEO solution, which monitors key room parameters such as temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels, and motion.

The DEOS TEO wireless LoRaWAN thermostat remains at the heart of the solution. It replaces existing manual radiator thermostats and draws its power directly from the heat of the radiator. This eliminates the need to replace batteries. As a result, radiators in existing buildings can be automated quickly, cleanly, and without complex wiring—with the potential to save up to 40% on heating costs.

The new enerSENSE room sensors from enerthing are the ideal complement to this solution. They use a special photovoltaic film that is also designed to work with artificial indoor lighting. As a result, the sensors are energy-self-sufficient and require little maintenance. At the same time, they provide precise room data for heating control that is even more tailored to actual needs—for example, in schools, office buildings, hotels, or municipal properties.

Commissioning is also designed for easy implementation in existing systems: The sensors supplied by DEOS are preconfigured with optimized parameters and can be integrated into the DEOS TEO system with the push of a button.

With the new PV room sensors, DEOS TEO is becoming an even more comprehensive, energy-self-sufficient wireless solution for heating optimization in existing buildings. Thanks to LoRaWAN, operators also benefit from long range and good penetration through walls and floor slabs—even in larger buildings—with minimal infrastructure requirements.
